As a key member of our team, you’ll be able to use your unique experience to help support positive patient experiences.In this position, you will protect and guard all assets, staff, patients, and visitors in and around the UCLA West Valley Medical Center. Security Officers perform regular patrols and document all routine activities, incidents, and may perform in a lead capacity as well as other duties as assigned. Additionally, you will enforce all policies and state laws, and follow all guidelines including state regulatory agency requirements. You will also ensure that the building is properly secured after closing.
Salary range: $21.18-$28.24 Hourly

Required:- Possess and maintain current certification: Guard Card, D.O.J. Chemical Agent, CPR, driver’s license and BLS Certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
- Ability to clearly and concisely express ideas using appropriate vocabulary and spelling.
- Ability to complete continual training classes as required. (Training provided)
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with Management, Security Management, Local Law Enforcement and surrounding community.
- Ability to independently resolve issues working within set policies and procedures.
- Ability to know and use available resources in order to solve problems.
- Ability to operate security related equipment and general office equipment.
- Ability to recognize the importance of dealing diplomatically with the public, and the importance of a good public appearance.
- Ability to relay information, either in writing or verbally, in a professional manner.
- Ability to see aspects of public relations in all facets of the job and the ability to understand the effects of actions on the entire organization.
