Position Description:
Perform all operations, maintenance, and support of technical control functions on Government owned and leased circuits, equipment, and facilities, including the equipment necessary for ensuring fast, reliable, and secure exchange of information. This includes distribution frames and associated panels, jacks, and switches and monitoring, test, and conditioning. This position supports the operational control of communications paths and facilities, makes quality analyses of communications and communications channels, monitors operations and maintenance functions, identify and correct deteriorating conditions, restore disrupted communications, provide requested on-call circuits, and take or direct such actions as may be required and practical to provide effective telecommunications services.
This position is required to implement and perform the necessary processes and tasks to meet all performance standards as outlined in the Performance Work statement.
Responsibilities Include:
- Configure, install, test, and monitor all TCF circuits, associated data lines, and equipment T
- This position is meant as a part-time role, primarily for weekends and to fill-in as needed for vacations, etc. Estimated number of weekly hours is 24.
- Perform administrative, technical, and maintenance services for hardware, and software systems.
- Provide Operations, Maintenance, and Support (OM&S) of all TCF encrypted and unencrypted communications equipment and associated data lines.
- Support complex multi-communication services and perform preventive maintenance and inventory management of all equipment.
- Provide technical support, remote diagnostics, maintenance, and installation of equipment to include integrating new technologies and system modifications into existing infrastructure.
- Develop, maintain, update, and implement contingency and restoral plans.
- Provide incident management to include recording, classification, initial response, investigation, diagnosis, resolution, recovery, and incident closure.
- Provide circuit certification and accreditation technical support.
- Maintain all circuit certification and accreditation documentation.
- Provide all cable maintenance including cable installation, minor fiber repair, reconfigurations, testing, troubleshooting, and management.
- Create and implement an Electronic Sensitive Device (ESD) program.
- Implement and maintain a TMDE program.
- Establish, update, and maintain all TCF records, manuals, and documentation.
- Operate and maintain cryptographic equipment and devices.
