Reports to: Software Engineering Manager
Travel Expectations: Minimal travel, determined by business needs and may include occasional trips for key meetings, collaboration opportunities, or area-connected events
Physical Requirements/Demands: None
What we’re looking for:
2-4 years of work experience in designing, developing, and maintaining public-facing Web applications deployed in the AWS environment
Experience in e-Commerce required
Background in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems preferred
Full-stack engineer - You are comfortable in the browser, the database, and everything in between
Deep commitment to test-driven development, and examples of how you've incorporated it into recent projects
Demonstrated and documented interest in dynamic Web languages, evolving frameworks, AWS/serverless platforms and other progressive technologies that could be applied to improving the Custom Ink Web experience
Well-qualified candidates would also have experience with the following: JavaScript (React/Node/NextJS), TypeScript, Ruby, Rails (or equivalent MVC framework), SQL, Git. Experience with comparable web frameworks will be considered as well.
Exposure to and excitement about AI coding tools (Copilot/ClaudeCode/Cursor/ChatGPT) and Agentic Programming.
What you’ll do:
Work proactively with engineers and partners to solve challenges associated with a growing, high-volume, customer-driven ecommerce and retail business.
Work as a full-stack engineer to deliver an optimal Web experience for our customers and intuitive tools for the Inkers to assist our customers.
Have ownership of critical functionality related to the Custom Ink platform.
Participate in Agile, test-driven development cycles and the rewards that come with delivering technology that has instant impact on a growing business.

You complete your assigned tasks in a timely manner. You identify gaps in your requirements and immediately raise concerns along with proposed solutions.
You will demonstrate ownership of our software and applications by resolving defects (your own or your team’s), keeping gems/modules/frameworks up to date, and supporting the team in emergency situations (attacks or outages).

Compensation:
We are committed to providing pay transparency and equitable compensation.
For this salaried, exempt position, the pay range is $113,000 - $130,700. Placement within the range is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to: knowledge, skills, years & depth of experience, and equity with internal team members.
In this role, you will be eligible for equity compensation, aligning your contributions with the company's long-term success.
