This role is essential for maintaining and optimizing infrastructure to ensure high availability, serviceability, security, and performance of our software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions. The Platform Operations Senior Engineer will be part of a team responsible for the management, maintenance, and optimization of the AWS infrastructure for the OneLogin product. This role involves complex troubleshooting, implementing automation, monitoring system performance, and collaborating with various teams to support and enhance cloud operations. Your work will ensure that our customers receive seamless high-availability service for their mission-critical applications across geographically distributed and redundant environments.

Responsibilities
- You will oversee the deployment, management, and maintenance of AWS infrastructure, including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, AMQ, Lambda, and other services
- You will implement and manage infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and Puppet
- You will be able to ensure the security of AWS environments by implementing best practices, conducting regular security assessments, and managing IAM policies, roles, and permissions
- You will have the chance to analyse and optimize the performance of AWS resources and services to ensure cost-efficiency and high availability
- You will lead the troubleshooting and resolution of complex technical issues and incidents, conducting root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures
- You will have the freedom to maintain comprehensive documentation of AWS infrastructure, processes, and procedures
- You will have the opportunity to work closely with development, Quality Assurance, DevOps and other teams to support application deployments, infrastructure changes, and strategic initiatives
- You will participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical systems and services
- You will use your creativity to set up and manage monitoring and logging solutions to ensure system reliability and performance
Qualifications
- You should have 4+ years relevant experience in a TechOps, DevOps, or similar role managing and maintaining AWS infrastructure in a production environment providing high availability services
- You should have strong expertise in AWS services, including EC2, S3, ELB, R53, RDS, VPC, ElastiCache, Lambda, IAM, and CloudFront
- You should have experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes (EKS)
- You should be proficient in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- You should be familiar with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Puppet and managing code using the Git version control system
Nice-to-have:
- AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer
- Proficiency in managing databases such as PostgreSQL, RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, and Redis
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Github Actions, ArgoCD, Team City, and Rundeck
- Familiarity with networking concepts, including VPC, subnets, routing, and security groups
- Strong security awareness and experience implementing AWS security best practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively under pressure
- Knowledge of observability and alerting tools such as CloudWatch, Datadog, Sumo Logic, Airbrake, CloudHealth, and PagerDuty
