Overview: Reporting to the DC Asset Protection Manager, the DC Asset Protection Overnight Supervisor serves as the overnight operational leader for the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), ensuring continuous monitoring, incident triage, and coordinated response across all SNIPES properties. This person is responsible for real-time decision-making, escalation management, and ensuring GSOC protocols are executed consistently during overnight hours. Assist the APM in overseeing all overnight physical security and trailer yard protection programs at the SNIPES Distribution Center.
Responsibilities:
- Supervising all Asset Protection Specialists on shift, as they perform their roles and responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations: alarm monitoring, video surveillance, access control alerts, and incident triage through GSOC platforms
- Ensure GSOC standard operating procedures (SOPs) are followed during overnight operations and document deviations as needed
- Provide coaching and guidance to Asset Protection Specialists to ensure accurate incident classification, documentation, and escalation
- Remote monitor store activity and internal systems through the GSOC platforms
- Remote monitor external security threats such as alarm activations, burglaries, and major theft incidents affecting all SNIPES Properties
- Manage and maintain the incident reporting and case management system, ensuring accurate documentation and timely follow-ups
- Coordinate response efforts and provide real-time support during security events, including escalations to leadership or law enforcement
- Ensuring incident communication is sent out to both the Executive and Field teams in a timely manner
- Conducting routine perimeter patrols of the truck yard to ensure all trailers and external areas are secure and free of unauthorized personnel or suspicious activity
- Supervises the execution of the nightly assessments to identify and resolve safety risks, unauthorized access, or potential theft
- Assist in the creation and completion of action plans immediately following when deficiencies are identified through the Audit process
- Assist the APM with ensuring that Physical Security, Loss Prevention Awareness, OSHA regulations, and Fire Safety standards are within company guidelines and to the highest industry standards
- Verify that trailer locks and seal numbers match the BOL (Bill of Lading) documentation in coordination with Logistics teams
- Ensure all trailers in the yard are either empty or properly secured
- Conduct regular cleanliness and security inspections in and around receiving docks, between trailers, trash compactor areas, and dock platforms
- Perform periodic inspections of overnight team member lockers in partnership with overnight managers
- Perform virtual camera assessments focused on trailer docks and yard perimeter to identify any anomalies or unauthorized activity
- Validate all lock pins and trailer seals are applied correctly to unoccupied trailers at end-of-shift
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (B. A.) from a four-year College or university in Criminal Justice
- 2+ years of Asset Protection or security supervision experience, preferably Overnight in a DC or yard/trailer environment <
