Sr. Associate, Cloud Engineer

SCOR Global Life Americas Reinsurance Company seeks Senior Associate, Cloud Engineer in Charlotte, NC to manage and administer Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft 365 services, Azure Active Directory (Entra), and related identity, security, and access management services. Manage and administer Atlassian Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket on-premises Linux server and in the cloud. Perform management activities on Velogica's cloud hosted infrastructure within Amazon Web Services. Review and execute (in conjunction with third party service providers) plans to conduct periodic operating system, and application server upgrades and maintenance. Ensure systems remain at operational excellence during infrastructure improvements. ln coordination with senior team members or within an appropriate range of discretion, design, develop and maintain standards, best practices, accompanying tooling, and documentation for the services and infrastructure which support the Velogica US environment (including Velogica). Identify, propose, and implement opportunities to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and security of delivery solutions. Facilitate communication and knowledge sharing of those opportunities between the relevant teams. Support the needs of Velogica US department, including: Design and implement managed infrastructure changes required by project work; Review, approve and execute high level and detailed technical plans; Provide back up support for architectural reviews and code reviews as necessary. Foster and participate in a culture of continuous improvement and psychological safety. Adhere to all Information Security policies and best practices, including security awareness training and other information protection initiatives. Create and maintain process documentation as required. Participate in audit evidence gathering. May perform other duties as required.

 

 

 

 

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation: managing Windows systems; managing and administering Microsoft 365 services, Azure Active Directory, and related identity, security, and access management services; utilizing IT infrastructure concepts including working with technical skills including Cloud technologies, operating systems, and security design & implementation concepts; programming and scripting in languages including PowerShell; and translating business needs into technical solutions. In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, employer will accept two years of related work experience. Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies.
