We are looking for a Senior Manager of Strategic Portfolio and Occupancy Planning to lead a team of planners and analysts in managing the real estate portfolio and occupancy strategy for our Puget Sound Campus. The Senior Manager of Strategic Portfolio and Occupancy Planning will be responsible for overseeing the planning, optimization, and utilization of 15M square feet of office space and 50,000 employees. The Senior Manager of Strategic Portfolio and Occupancy Planning will also collaborate with leaders and stakeholders to align the portfolio and occupancy plans with the business objectives and priorities.
Engaging on high-impact projects, The Senior Manager of Strategic Portfolio and Occupancy Planning will collaborate with our internal business partners, industry experts and strategic vendors to nurture innovation and deliver renowned solutions across our campus. The Senior Manager of Strategic Portfolio and Occupancy Planning serves as primary interface with Business Division(s) and client disciplines focused on office space and the lab and specialty needs required to support Hardware, Software, and the next generation technologies needed to support the development of new products and services. This role enables Global Workplace Services (GWS) to thoughtfully incorporate the unique space requirements Microsoft has into the long-term Master Plan for the Puget Sound Campus.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement portfolio and occupancy strategies that support the short-term and long-term goals of the organization
- Manage the portfolio and occupancy planning team, providing guidance, coaching, and performance management
- Establish and maintain portfolio and occupancy data, metrics, and reporting tools to provide insights and recommendations to leaders and business partners
- Conduct scenario analysis, feasibility studies, and financial modeling to evaluate portfolio and occupancy options and trade-offs
- Lead the development and execution of portfolio and occupancy projects, such as space optimization, consolidation, relocation, expansion, and disposition
- Ensure compliance with corporate standards, policies, and procedures for portfolio and occupancy planning and management
- Partner with cross-functional teams, such as real estate, facilities, finance, HR, IT, and security, to ensure alignment and coordination of portfolio and occupancy initiatives and activities
- Monitor and analyze market trends, industry best practices, and emerging technologies to identify and implement portfolio and occupancy innovations and improvements

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Real Estate, Project Management, or related field AND 5+ years relevant experience
- OR 7+ years equivalent experience.
- 2+ years people management experience.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Real Estate, Project Management, or related field AND 7+ years Portfolio Management, Real Estate, or Office Management experience
- OR 10+ years equivalent experience
- 3+ years people management experience.
