About the role

The Enterprise Partner team drives Microsoft’s commercial partner business, focused on building and selling Microsoft Commercial Cloud solutions with and through partners to empower people and organizations. 

As a Business Program Manager (BPM) Industry Partner and Sales (IPS) Global Independent Software Vendors (GISVs) within the GISVs group, you will play a pivotal role in helping scale the Sales organization through strategic initiatives and programs, most notably, FastStart, Customer Partner Engagement, Partner Business Plans and Strategic growth plans. 

You will collaborate closely with the GISV LT (leadership team), Partner Development Managers (PDMs), sellers, and cross-functional stakeholders across IPS, MCAPS (Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions), GPS (Global Partner Solutions) and several Microsoft teams to enable sellers’ productivity, LT scale and to drive execution excellence across the GISV portfolio of partners. 

You will be part of the Executive Office team, reporting to the Chief of Staff and you will partner closely with the GISV Leadership teams and partner IPS teams. 

Job Location: This job is located in Redmond, WA and is flexible in that you can work up to 50% from home.

Responsibilities

Customer Partner Engagement (CPE) Strategy 

  • Develop and execute the engagement model for strategic ISVs (Independent Software Vendors) in close collaboration with the GISV Vice President, GISV Leadership Team, Global PDMs, IPS & MCAPS and CPE leads. 
  • Align partner engagement rhythms with Microsoft’s executive cadence, defining clear objectives, expected outcomes, and follow-up mechanisms for high-impact engagements. 
  • Establish a consistent rhythm for engagement activities, including prep meetings and briefings with PDMs and ISV leads. 
  • Own and maintain the CPE tracker regularly; review weekly and monthly plans with the GISV VP and Chief of Staff to ensure alignment and visibility. 
  • Ensure engagement plans are clearly communicated and adopted across the organization using standardized project management tools and tracking systems. 
  • Create enablement readiness, brief documents templates to support PDMs and executive administrators in executing partner engagement plans effectively. 
  • Working closely with IPS and MCAPS CPE leads, identify new opportunities and continuously improve engagement strategies. 

 

Program Execution & Excellence 

  • In partnership with the Chief of Staff, Sales Excellence, and Role Guide Champions, lead the execution of FastStart for GISV sellers, ensuring organizational readiness and successful rollout by early Q1 of each fiscal year.
