A Day in the Life
We anticipate the application window for this opening will close on - 16 May 2025.Join us for an exciting opportunity with the Equipment & Automation team at our Plymouth - Nathan Lane location! In this dynamic role, you will be at the forefront of supporting manufacturing equipment, focusing on automation and controls. You'll have the chance to work on innovative projects that include integrating cutting-edge technologies and enhancing equipment through improvements and redesigns. We're seeking a technically skilled and ambitious professional with a robust mechanical background to be part of our forward-thinking team.
Responsibilities include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Support equipment mechanization & automation initiatives from business case to implementation
Provide advanced support for the technician department in equipment troubleshooting to reduce / eliminate downtime
Collaborate with Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team to incorporate process changes into existing equipment
Document equipment requirements & review vendor designs
Support full equipment life-cycle, development through sunsetting
Complete equipment documentation for new deployments
Equipment improvements of up time through troubleshooting, design changes, vendor partnerships & Hypercare
Execution of automation opportunities for equipment/technology implementation from idea to production
Work with a team to help design, develop and customize mechanical systems for manufacturing
Accepting, supporting installation and hypercare of mechanical systems
Own internal design for fixtures, equipment updates and stand alone systems
Must Have
Requires a Bachelor's degree and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience
Preferred
Experience in completing and implementing mechanical equipment design
Experience writing & executing equipment development documentation, such as Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and User Requirement Specifications (URS) for new equipment
Experience selecting and working with equipment vendors
Experience in site support or new equipment design/installation for manufacturing
