About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Project Engineer to join our growing team. This role is responsible for coordinating technical activities on assigned heavy civil construction projects and supporting project execution from start to finish. You’ll work closely with the Project Manager to ensure high-quality outcomes, schedule adherence, and team alignment across field and office operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Review and manage submittals and shop drawings
• Track and respond to RFIs and maintain document control
• Support project scheduling and updates using tools like P6 and MS Project
• Oversee daily subcontractor coordination and jobsite logistics
• Perform quantity tracking and material takeoffs
• Conduct quality control inspections and ensure compliance with standards
• Attend and contribute to owner and subcontractor meetings
• Maintain consistent communication with Haydon field crews and subcontractors
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
• 0–3 years of experience in heavy civil construction or similar
• Strong computer proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, On Center OST, P6, and MS Project
• Understanding of government regulations related to construction projects
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
• High energy and ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Physical Requirements
• Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, and use hands for typing and handling objects
• Occasionally required to reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally and 10 pounds frequently
