Sr. Workday Consultant, Tech Consulting

Job Description

The Senior Consultant, Tech Consulting is responsible for leading the delivery of quality consulting, project management and support services to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction, as an individual contributor or a team member.  

• Perform troubleshooting of complex issues related to system functionality and data integrity. Perform systems tasks and maintenance while supporting technology related projects including modifications, customizations, upgrades, adoption of new functionality, reporting, and use of data stored in HR Systems. 

• Research and resolve system problems, system access issues, unexpected results or process flaws.  

• Leads and drives the delivery of high-quality maintenance, improvements, and project initiatives by coordinating with client and project team members on system-related projects and initiatives including implementation, review, and testing prior to go-live.  

• Map business processes; identify strategies, risks, and options when gaps are identified, recommend approaches and mitigations to meet business requirements while staying consistent with native architecture.  

• Translate business objectives and customer needs into clearly written business requirements; create and maintain pertinent documentation.  

• Work with internal team and clients to analyze business processes to ensure optimal configuration, reduce downstream impact, and provide continuous improvement.  

• Provide frequent and clear communications regarding the status of initiatives, keeping stakeholders informed of changes and work that is in progress.  

• Continually expand general knowledge and understanding of Workday configuration across all modules to provide broader support when needed.  

• Actively participate in Workday Community to identify any potential issues as well as identify any new solutions to existing issues.  

• Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications

Education
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

• 5+ Years of experience in Workday business process configuration with experience in Workday reporting, dashboards and creating calculated fields. Demonstrate in-depth Workday knowledge in at least two of the following solutions or functional areas: HCM, Time Off and Leave, Recruiting, Adoption Planning, Systems, Learning, Performance, in Core HR, Time Tracking, Payroll, Benefits, Talent, Advanced Compensation. Highly proficient in Tenant Management and Tenant refreshes. 

• Experience with configuration setup, end-to-end testing, and maintenance of core HR systems/applications. 

Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

- Deep subject matter expertise in a variety of workstreams (change management, risk assessment, compliance, sponsorship modeling, user acceptance testing, end-to-end testing, end user training, communications, resistance management, launch planning, and configuration).
- Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Smartsheet, Lucidchart, and other related software.
