What You’ll Do:
The Global Business Services (GBS) team at CoreWeave is a key pillar within the finance function, reporting directly to the Chief Accounting Officer. This group drives the centralization, standardization, and optimization of critical processes such as Accounts Payable, Payroll, Credit & Collections, and select areas of fixed assets, leasing, and accounting. Working closely with cross-functional partners across finance, HR, and procurement, GBS leverages technology and automation to deliver efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service quality. The team is designed to scale globally, supporting CoreWeave’s rapid growth with best-in-class processes and operational excellence.
About the role:
Reporting directly to the Chief Accounting Officer, the Head of Global Business Services (GBS) will play a critical leadership role in the finance function of CoreWeave and will lead the centralization, standardization, optimization, and eventual automation of myriad activities, including Accounts Payable, Payroll, Credit and Collection, and select responsibilities across fixed assets, leasing and accounting.
GBS will partner closely with all the teams across the CAO organization, as well as the broader finance function, purchasing, HR and other cross-functional leaders and other executives to help inform goals and initiatives. He/she/they will leverage technology and automation to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service quality. The ideal candidate is a highly experienced and transformational leader with a proven track record of designing, implementing, and managing successful GBS organizations in a complex, multinational environment.
- Develop and execute the long-term GBS strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and the company's future direction.
- Operational leadership: Oversee and manage day-to-day GBS operations, guaranteeing consistent, high-quality, and cost-effective service delivery across all functions and locations.
- Organizational setup: Design, establish, and mature the GBS function, defining quality processes and operational standards.
- Transformation initiatives: Lead large-scale transformation projects, such as process automation (including RPA and AI), outsourcing, and organizational redesign.
- Stakeholder engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with C-level executives and functional business partners to ensure alignment, drive adoption, and achieve value creation objectives.
- Performance management: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) to measure success and drive continuous improvement.
- Change management: Champion and lead change management efforts to ensure a smooth transition for employees and stakeholders impacted by new GBS models.
- Compliance and governance: Ensure all outsourced and shared services operations comply with internal controls, regulatory standards, and data privacy requirements.
- Team leadership: Attract, hire, and develop a high-performing global team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and customer-centricity.
- Financial management: Manage the GBS budget and forecast, and contribute to company-wide cost-reduction and financial planning initiatives.
Who You Are:
- 10+ years of experience in accounting with exposure to topics applicable to a high-growth business, preferably in technology
- Familiar with large amounts of inventory, fixed assets, and, as a plus, solid exposure to manufacturing.
- Must have significant experience with multinational companies, with a strong preference for someone who has worked in a fast-growing environment, where processes had to be rapidly matured and scaled.
