Job Description
- Perform manpower planning and leveling per the New Program Template.
- Interact with corporate planning, production management and union leadership on all matters relating to IE activities.
- Lead a cross functional team in the development of operator man assignments, working closely with TLs, Quality, and Engineering to assure objectives are met at a station and plant level.
- Build relationships with Engineering and Manufacturing to comprehend the new product requirements and sequence of build.
- Develops work assignments based on predetermined time standards.
- Conducts studies in operations to maximize workflow and spatial utilization.
- Plans and oversees layout of equipment, office, and production facilities.
- Perform cycle time and bottleneck analysis.
- Develop and improve work methods.
- Ability to take on and own leadership roles in executing the launch plan.
- Provide supervision, mentoring and direction to less experienced team members.
- The candidate needs to be self-motivated; goal driven and possesses good presentation skills.
Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications: bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering.
- 4+ years Industrial Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication, computer and problem solving/analytical skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and interface with all levels of management and labor.
- Self-motivated.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree preferred.
- Industrial Engineering experience implementing direct labor line balancing in a high-volume manufacturing environment using a standard time methodology.
- Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of AMPS, MODAPTS and TeamCenter highly desired.
- Proficient in Google Suites and Microsoft Office applications.
