Job Summary
We are currently looking for a Bilingual (Spanish) Attractions Tour Guide to join our team at the legendary Queen Mary. The Attractions Tour Guide is responsible for providing information and/or answering passenger questions about tours while providing the highest level of service possible in an efficient courteous and professional manner.
Responsibilities
QUALIFICATIONS:
- The ideal Attractions Tour Guide will have previous experience as a tour guide or attractions host or hostess and have a passion for the Queen Mary and her history.
- High school degree or equivalent
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to learn and retain the ship’s historical and technical information
- Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail speed and accuracy
- Ability to move throughout the Queen Mary (standing walking) for extended periods of time
- Must have the ability to communicate clearly and directly with guests using a positive clear speaking voice
- Ability to read comprehend and write simple instructions and/or short correspondence and memos
- Must have the ability to work a varied schedule that may include evenings nights and weekends
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintaining an up to date working knowledge and historical knowledge of the Queen Mary
- Learning and presenting the script for all tours
- Opening and closing attraction areas
- Greeting passengers in a warm and friendly manner acknowledging them upon arrival
- Fulfilling attraction attendant duties when not leading tours
- Answering questions about the Queen Mary tours and guided tours
- Interacting with crew members in a professional manner assisting other departments with necessary information
- Listening and responding to passenger inquiries using a positive clear speaking voice
- Performing attraction attendant duties when not conducting tours
- Maintaining an up to date working knowledge of all property amenities as well as any special events
