About the role
Location: Benchik Medical Health CenterPosition: Medical Assistant
Benchik Medical Health Center, Whiting, IN is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) to join the team. As a MA, you will be responsible for supporting the daily operations at the office. The ideal candidate will support Dr. Benchik-Abrinko and our patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management including but not limited to:
• Schedule and manage patient appointments in the practice management and EHR.• Conduct patient vitals and screenings, including: accurate blood pressure, height, weight, health risk assessment, depression, and other screenings as applicable. • Document and update patient information in the electronic health record (Practice Fusion and Lytec)• Coordination of care related to chronic care management, transitions of care, capturing care gaps, quality measures and Emergency Department utilization.• Collaborate with team regarding schedule, patient care, and administrative responsibilities.
Starting wages: $18.00 per hour

Skills:
- Proven work experience in a medical office as a medical assistant and/or receptionist.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible and service oriented.
- Excellent communication skills.
Starting wages: $18.00 per hour
