About the role

SUMMARY

The Production Management Support role ensures timely and efficient support of critical manufacturing processes, including Cold Forming, Thread Rolling, Heat Treatment, and Surface Treatment. This role is responsible for maintaining production priorities, coordinating with shipping, and ensuring smooth transitions between departments to meet customer delivery timelines.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - include the following but not limited to.

  • Monitor and update manufacturing whiteboards and priority charts.
  • Place priority indicators at key stages (Heat Treatment, Surface/Secondary Treatment).
  • Facilitate the movement of priority parts across departments to meet shipping deadlines.
  • Communicate daily priorities with Manufacturing Area Leaders through meetings.
  • Provide cross-departmental support as needed.
  • Work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Minimum of a High School Diploma. Must be able to communicate clearly with the IAF Management Team. Computer Skills- (Preferred) such as Microsoft, Outlook, Excel

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, interpret general priority parts information, and procedures.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers. Must be able to read, write, and comprehend English.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Microsoft, Excel, and other data software is used.

REASONING ABILITY: Must be able to communicate clearly to the Manufacturing department Area Leader or Management.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to talk or hear.  The Team Member is required to stand and use hands, walk, bend, lift, or twist.  The Team Member frequently is required to reach with hands and arms.  The Team Member is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell.  The Team Member must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly.  The Team Member must be able to lift a container of fasteners weighing up to 25 pounds on a regular basis.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.  While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is frequently required to walk; to use their hands to finger, handle, or feel; and to talk or hear.
