ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Arrive for work at the designated station, rested and prepared to work the scheduled shift. If at any time the associate becomes unable to safely discharge the assigned duties during the shift, the associate is to immediately report this to the on duty Emergency Medical Dispatcher-Supervisor.
  • Proficient with phone system and RightCAD computer system and other system support software.
  • Working knowledge of System Status Management (SSM).
  • Promotes the image and reputation of the System by exhibiting servant leadership and providing direct and open lines of communication.
  • Contributes to the work of committees, workgroups, project management, and other collaborative efforts of the System.
  • Performs other duties as necessary to ensure the success of the System.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Working knowledge of office practice and procedures.
  • Proficient at operating basic office equipment.
  • Ability to type a minimum of 35 wpm and operate a Windows based computer system.
  • Skill in carrying out orders with precision and speed.
  • Ability to make decisions quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to speak and enunciate clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to deal with the public in a courteous and tactful manner.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and accomplish them simultaneously.
  • Maintain EMD and CPR certification.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain composure and work under pressure. Ability to work as part of a team is essential.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, write, speak the English language fluently, effectively articulate, and be easily understood by the general population.
  • EMD and CPR certification.
