We’re searching for a Test Engineer to join the team and make a massive impact on the global transportation industry.
In this role, you will
- Perform hardware validation testing and verification of LiDAR, Radar, Camera, and IMU sensors.
- Develop and execute hardware test plans and procedures
- Identify, document, and track hardware/firmware defects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware and software development teams, to ensure products meet requirements
- Develop and maintain test scripts and tools to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of testing.
- Develop and maintain test fixtures and equipment
- Troubleshoot and debug hardware issues
- Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
- Analyze test results, identify issues, and work with the development team to resolve them.
- Create test reports and manage root cause/corrective action for test failures with the design team.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in hardware testing, including experience with photonics, embedded systems, digital and analog circuitry, and firmware.
- Familiarity with standard test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, data acquisition systems, thermal chambers and vibe tables.
- Experience with Python, git and Linux required.
- Hands-on experience working with and debugging complex hardware and software systems
- Experience with handling large data sets and writing scripts to post-process test data
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot complex issues.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Desirable Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineer, Physics or a related field
- Experience with pandas and C++ is desirable.
The base salary range for this position is $106k to $159k per year. Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
