ICU Registered Nurse

ICU Registered Nurse (RN) | Full-Time | Rotating Weekends

• Location: Fort Walton Beach, FL
• Shifts Available: Days, Nights, Mixed (Rotating Weekends)
• Compensation: $26.40 – $39.60 per hour (Based on Experience)
• Sign-On Bonus: Up to $15,000
• Relocation Assistance: Case-by-Case Basis
• Shift Differentials: $4.25/hr for nights, $1.50/hr specialty differential

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join a dedicated critical care team. This role requires strong clinical skills, adaptability, and the ability to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The ICU RN will work closely with an interdisciplinary team to monitor, assess, and treat critically ill patients.

Key Responsibilities

✔ Provide high-acuity patient care, including ventilator management and vasoactive medications
✔ Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and document care
✔ Serve as a patient and family advocate, ensuring confidentiality and compassionate communication
✔ Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and support staff for optimal patient outcomes
✔ Participate in quality improvement initiatives and best practice protocols

Qualifications

🔹 Current RN License in Florida (or ability to obtain)
🔹 1+ years of recent ICU experience in an acute care setting (within the last 3 years)
🔹 BLS & ACLS required (ACLS must be obtained within 6 months)
🔹 BSN preferred but not required
🔹 CCRN certification preferred but not required

ICU Unit Details

• Number of Beds: 10
• Patient Ratios: 1:2-3 (Days & Nights)
• Patient Cases: Medical/Surgical ICU, ventilated patients, vasoactive medications, cardiac, pulmonary, metabolic, and low-acuity trauma
• Typical Patient Census: 8-10
• Length of Stay: 3-4 days
• Daily Discharges: 1 discharge, 2-3 transfers to step-down or medical floor
• Shadow Shift Required Before Offer Acceptance
