SLB is seeking a motivated Supplier Quality Engineer to support our Data Center infrastructure solutions business.
The Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for day-to-day quality assurance activities which includes providing supplier assessments, monitoring, development and surveillance activities. Through appropriate responses to supplier quality issues as well as proactive assessment of risks and mitigation actions, this role is to drive continual improvement practices throughout the Data Centers supply chain.
- Ensure that all supplier root cause investigations and corrective actions following a formally identified issue (via NCR or CPAR) are captures and risk of reoccurrence is minimized.
- Audit and assessment of supplier’s systems and processes against Data centers requirements and Industry Standards.
- Support in pre-production meetings as necessary, as a specific risk mitigation activity with suppliers where indicated by supplier performance, Inspection/Test Plan or other input.
- Perform new supplier assessments as required to support procurement objectives, in line with established procedures.
- Deliver training and support to suppliers to enable them to meet Data Centers supplier expectations as needed (i.e. BOM, problem solving, 6S, etc.)
- Provide support to procurement team in relation to supplier action plans resulting from NCRs
- Maintain all necessary records and metrics associated with the above.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience working in a manufacturing or relatable industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).
- Comfortable leading meetings and communicating across teams.
- Clear and effective communicator, able to convey complex concepts in both individual and group settings.
- Fluent in English, with advanced written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
Preferred Skills
- 2-5 years of experience
- Familiarity with construction materials and methods for the fabrication of structural steel and pressure containing equipment
- Experience with MRP systems
- Experience with SAP
- Experience with Microsoft Office Applications
- Experience in special processes related to manufacturing (Welding, NDE, Heat Treatment, & Coating)
