• Economic impact analysis (EIA) – 60% - Growing the depth and expertise of the IMPLAN User Group team through leadership, teaching, and ongoing training. will work with the team to expand opportunities for teaching and publications, and to generate contracted external projects. The team will be tasked with familiarizing a broader cross-section of Extension Educators in other disciplines about how EIA can be applied in their work. Continue to focus on multi-state collaboration efforts, including organizing an emerging user group to share EIA projects. The goal is to establish OSU Extension Community Development as an expert resource for EIA.
• Entrepreneurship curriculum, Building Entrepreneur-Friendly Communities (BEFC) – 30% - Implementing and expanding the BEFC curriculum. As co-leader and founder of the project, will be responsible for a large portion of the curriculum to identify, through EIA and other data resources, existing capacity of communities in meeting the needs of entrepreneurs. The BEFC curriculum has been peer-reviewed and published and is currently being revised for delivery as a ScarletCanvas course. A new initiative, as part of an NCRCRD grant, is also to expand the curriculum to target tourism entrepreneurship. This two-year project will entail dedicated time to provide teaching and research and to expand the program to multiple states. the team will focus on making others aware of this unique program and to establish OSU Extension CD as an expert resource on entrepreneurship.
• Mentoring CD Field Specialists and Educators – 10% - Serve as a mentor and guide educators to establish priorities and grow programs, seek promotion, peer review their work, and serve in other areas where needed. Develop related materials as appropriate with the Assistant Director, Community Development and the Associate Chair, Department of Extension.
