General Ledger Accountant with focus on Türkiye (m/f/d)

 

We are seeking for our Global Transaction Center (GTC) for the next possible date a General Ledger Accountant - with focus on Türkiye (m/f/d), a position at KWS Berlin GmbH in Berlin. The General Ledger Accountant is the backbone of KWS finances globally and working together with the Expert Hub and other GTC teams. The function furthermore executes all transactional and knowledge-based general ledger processes, such as: general ledger postings, accrual accounting, intercompany accounting, asset accounting as well as group accounting. This job will be full-time and permanent. 
 
Your tasks:  
    • Adjusts open intercompany items and executes intercompany reconsolidation. 
    • Prepare financial statements and execute local closing according to IFRS and local GAAP. 
    • Reconciles balance sheet accounts. 
    • Executes all activities on quarter closing that lead to a timely and correct delivery of financial statements: posting of petty cash, HR accruals and salaries, other accruals, posting of depreciation assets, IFRS 16 and 9 and deferred taxes. 
    • Executes and spars on operational activities within all General Ledger area regarding monthly, quarterly and yearly closing of GTC. 

Your profile:
•    Preferably academic degree in Business Administration.
•    Proven experience in the field of Accounting, preferably in Turkish accounting.
•    Fluent in English and Turkish.
•    Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage high-volume transactions.
•    Excellent communication skills.
•    Analytical skills and a hands-on mentality.
•    Customer orientation and extraordinary service attitude and resilience
•    Cooperative, customer oriented and with teamwork attitude.
