Senior Software Engineer (Brondby)

As a Senior Software Engineer in SPS - you will develop new and current software applications that will directly support the work in the departments of SPS. You will develop simple solutions working small, talk to end-users during the entire product development process, use your problem-solving approach and be curious monitoring the outcome of any release, to determine if we achieved the expected effect. In between, you will refactor your code on the go and handle not-urgent bugs. You will lead projects cross the team and cross the organisation, teach and mentor colleague developers, head knowledge groups and be a role software developer model with an experienced product development approach. 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop new or current applications that support the departments in SPS in close collaboration with end-users and stakeholders
• Reduce complexity on current and future code and architecture
• Contribute to working smarter in the team and between the team and end-users/stakeholders
• Contribute to increasingly working with AI and using AI as part of new or current applications
• Close end-user collaboration from problem exploration, through development of solutions to assessing the outcome of a release
• Be responsible for one or more applications and head an applications group
• Head cross organizational software development features
• Train or mentor other software developers
• Head team projects or SPS projects
• Head knowledge-groups on software development in SPS
• Support the development of the way we work in the team, and how we collaborate with stakeholders and end-users
• Carry out other tasks when business requirements dictate as may be reasonably expected by line manager
• Core functions: Act as internal thought leader due to specialized knowledge.  
• Decision making authority: Advisor for other members on projects related to technical specialization.
• Impact/consequence: Significant impact on efficiency of department, business decisions and functional performance 
• Problem solving: Leads others in solving difficult problems. 
• Span of control/complexity: Works autonomously in your area of specialization. Acts as a resource and provides non-supervisory guidance to entry level staff.
   

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• B.Sc., M.Sc. in Engineering, Computer Science or similar fields or autodidact within software development 
• Several years of working experience with software development
• Full stack engineer experience

SKILLS, TRAINING & SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE:

• Experienced writing C# and the tooling around the programming language
• Experienced working with SQL databases 
• Experienced GitHub and Copilot user. 
• Experienced integrating AI as part of applications 
• Knowledge of Windows Presentation Foundation 
• Knowledge of Entity Frame Core. 
• Knowledge of packaging and deploying containerized applications, preferably using Kubernetes.
• Experience working in agile and product development set-ups. 
• Professional knowledge of English and Danish language
