Junior Budget Analyst

WWC Global is seeking multiple Junior Budget Analysts for a potential effort supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Protective Service in the area of Financial Management Operations.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Assisting with the preparation of budget estimates and consolidating budget forecasts.
- Assisting with providing support services to implement the requirements of OMB guidance and other financial standards.
- Assisting with integrating internal controls into overall financial, and cost and performance business processes and procedures.
- Assisting with documenting processes to create, maintain and populate all FPS financial reports, and trainFPS users nationwide as necessary.
- Providing internal control support as well as assisting in the development and execution of Mission Action Plans (MAPs), Corrective Action Plans (CAPs), and other required remediation.
- Supporting financial audits and OMB Circular A-123 reviews including development and maintenance of standard operating procedures.
- Providing support services to fully analyze the technical, functional, and financial impact of acquiring and implementing business solutions for the agency.
- Assisting with program administration of the Travel Card and Purchase Card programs, as well as the overall Travel program to include providing first level help desk support to users, running reports, preparing variance analysis, tracking resources, etc.
- Assisting with financial administration of WebTA and payroll. Provide budget execution support in IPAC/invoice process.
- Providing financial and budget support for various routine projects, such as drafting responses to taskers, development of PowerPoint Presentations, analysis of execution reports, inputting data into required systems, completing process mapping and documentation, drafting Standard Operating Procedures, preparing requisitions, coordinating Security Work Authorizations program administration, providing invoice processing support, and other budget related tasks.
- Providing financial and budget support for various ad-hoc projects, such as budget tracking, workforce planning, labor analysis, modular cost table development and use, statistical analysis, quality assurance, communications, acquisition management, and performance management and other related budget activities.
- Providing obligation management support to the organization as surge support.
- Maintaining a working knowledge of the DHS Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution process and its products, terminology, and guidance documents, including DHS budget and financial management regulations, OMB circulars, and Congressional Legislation.
- Assisting with feasibility analysis, development, recommendations, clean-up, and cost analysis of financial system reports and reporting requirements.
- Assisting in scheduling financial, budget management and coordination required efforts.
- Assisting in meeting preparation.
- Preparing minutes associated with financial and budget level meeting, outreach events and associated round tables.
- Assisting with financial and budgetary task coordination and schedule tracking
- Assisting with general analysis and closeout procedures to promote the most efficient use of FPS resources.
This position is contingent on contract award.
Multiple positions may be hired from this announcement.
Work Environment:
- Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone and printers) and /or occasional Loud noise (airfield, large equipment).
- Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
