Job Duties

Sr. Data Systems Analysts for various and unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S (HQ: Chicago, IL). Develop, analyze, support, integrate, automate and troubleshoot software applications. Enhance and maintain software processing platforms and systems. Communicate effectively to gather business requirements and perform software data systems analysis. Translate business requirements into software specifications. Create and track product backlogs and all subsequent steps to release software application to production. Develop, test, and implement data flow models, data transformation process using experience analyzing data models. Create software application test plans and resolve data systems and processing issues. Use expertise to influence best practices and investigation techniques across a matrixed organization and across multiple countries. Manage projects and coordinate software applications across multiple teams, and work with offshore teams. Technical Environment: SQL/PLSQL, Oracle; SAS, R, Python, Hadoop, Hive, Agile Project Management Tools (Azure DevOps, Jira); Waterfall; database concepts; Excel, Power BI, Project/Visio.

 

Job Requirements

Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Analytics or any Engineering or related quantitative field, or Business with certificate in Analytics also acceptable, plus two years of experience as a Data Analyst or with software development/configuration required. Skills required: Experience: analyzing data models to optimize system performance; database concepts; SQL/PLSQL, Oracle; SAS/R/Python, Hadoop/Hive, Agile Tools (Azure DevOps, Jira), Power BI, Project/Visio; Experience in project management & coordination across multiple teams; experience influencing (best practices & investigation techniques) across a matrixed organization & across multiple countries. Must have effective written and verbal communication skills to enable gathering and documenting requirements. Telecommuting permitted.
