The basics of this position:

The Online campus at STLCC is seeking a temporary full-time faculty member to teach online Chemistry (CHM 101- Fundamentals of Chemistry) for the Spring 2025 term. This position is for a temporary full-time faculty for the Spring 2025 term (January 13, 2025 - May 19, 2025). The new hire and assigned rank will depend on the candidate’s qualifications and teaching experience.

The temporary Chemistry faculty member will be expected to teach CHM 101 - Fundamentals of Chemistry online using college content, mentor students, fulfill administrative duties as required, and serve on online campus committees as appropriate. This position is responsible for teaching courses in accordance with St. Louis Community College (STLCC) curriculum requirements and meeting STLCC Standards and Mission. In addition, the faculty member is to teach and facilitate a meaningful learning experience of the course competencies in the curriculum, proactively supporting all facets of STLCC mission, and working with key members of the academic team to support student success, as well as, fostering and encouraging an online culture of learning through appropriate distance delivery mechanisms.
