Schedule: Schedule is 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. most days. Must be available to work 9:30 a.m. – 6 p.m., two days per week.

Program:

Family Violence & Shelter Support (FVSS) is a comprehensive program designed to meet the needs of victims and potential victims of domestic violence, batterers and children who have witnessed or been affected by domestic violence in their families and/or been a direct victim by virtue of trying to intervene in the violence. FVSS addresses the issues of domestic violence as it impacts the whole family through prevention, early intervention and treatment strategies. Services are family strengths-based and offer a wide spectrum of bilingual, culturally competent services in order to terminate the abusive behavior and initiate a healthy relationship within the home. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Family Development Associate Family Violence Support, under the supervision of the Program Coordinator & Program Director is responsible for providing services to SBCS’ clients and the Community. Services will be in keeping with agency goals, objectives, mission and style and provided within a team framework. Associate is responsible for working within the team in developing team goals and objectives and in meeting those goals and objectives.

DUTIES:

• Provide case management, advocacy, court and forensic (DAFE and SAFE) exam accompaniment and other services relative to program goals and objectives. Including goals and objectives agreed upon with the client based on the Family Well Being Assessment.
• Conduct strengths-based assessments and develop service plans with clients. 
• Maintains case records and client files as required by SBCS and its funding sources.
• Appropriate coordination of contacts with other public and private organizations and individuals, as necessary to effectively serve clients. (e.g. progress reports to referral sources, client referrals to other agencies, law enforcement roll-calls).
• Provides monthly statistical reports of services provided as required by SBCS.
