Job Description

As a Security Officer - Distribution Patrol Full-Time in Brunswick, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will conduct routine patrols of yards, docks, and interior areas, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control and visitor screening. You will document observations, communicate clearly with teams and site leaders, and deliver customer-focused service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including warehouse areas, loading docks, trailer yards, and perimeter fencing. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Control access at entrances, gates, and dock areas by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining visitor and/or contractor logs per site policy.
  • Monitor closed circuit television systems, alarms, and access control panels as assigned, and report irregular activity according to post orders.
  • Help to deter unauthorized entry and/or theft by maintaining a visible presence and promptly reporting suspicious activity.
  • Support shipping and receiving operations by observing dock activity, checking seal numbers and/or trailer identifiers when assigned, and reporting discrepancies to site contacts.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities in written reports, including times, locations, and actions taken, and communicate updates to Allied Universal management and site contacts.
  • Respond to alarms, calls for service, and radio traffic, and coordinate with law enforcement and/or emergency services when requested by site leadership.
  • Assist with traffic control for trucks and employee vehicles during peak arrival and departure times, special events, and/or congestion near gates and dock lanes.
  • Participate in required trainings, briefings, and post order updates, and follow Allied Universal and site policies regarding confidentiality and professional conduct.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess a TSA issued TWIC.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
