Job Summary/Basic Functions

A short order cook is responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of food items in a kitchen environment. Some specific responsibilities of a short order cook might include:

• Preparing and cooking food items to order such as sandwiches, burgers, and other menu items
• Maintaining a clean and organized workstation, including washing dishes and utensils, sweeping and mopping the floor, and restocking supplies as needed
• Adhering to health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and storage procedures
• Monitoring food quality and presentation to ensure it meets customer standards
• Working closely with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Food Handlers Certification
