You will be responsible for thoroughly testing game features, content, and functionality to identify potential issues and ensure an exceptional gaming experience for our players.<br/><br/>Your expertise will help shape the development process by reporting bugs, collaborating with developers to reproduce and resolve problems, and providing actionable feedback to improve gameplay.</p><h5><strong>How you can have an impact in your position:</strong></h5><ul> <li>Own a project area and ensure that all the checks are properly executed.</li> <li>Create and execute test cases based on design documents.</li> <li>Work closely with the Project Managers and Game Testers to deliver the tasks on time and with the expected quality.</li> <li>Help maintain the good functionality of the game systems by developing an intimate understanding of them and their associated requirements.</li> <li>Perform testing accurately and thoroughly, within a specified time frame to detect bugs, software flaws, and/or design issues.</li> <li>Report the test results, provide regular updates, and escalate concerns to relevant stakeholders.</li> <li>Ensure the quality of testing deliverables.</li> </ul><ul> </ul><h5><strong>We are looking for you to have:  </strong></h5><ul> <li>Passion for video games</li> <li>Advanced knowledge of QA processes</li> <li>3+ years of experience in QA roles</li> <li>Ability to provide constructive and qualitative feedback for the game</li> <li>Experience with test case management and defect tracking tools (e.g., TestRail, Xray, JIRA, Confluence)</li> <li>Experience with the test cycle of a commercial game project, from alpha to beta, launch, and ongoing maintenance</li> <li>Ability to provide peer support and onboard new team members effectively</li> <li>Professional attitude with a proven track record of being proactive, self-driven, meticulous, and curious</li> <li>Strong analytical skills with the ability to detect and troubleshoot problems</li> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English</li> </ul><h5>In addition, ideally, you might also have:</h5><ul> <li>QA experience on current-gen consoles</li> <li>Advanced knowledge of SDLC</li> <li>Experience with playing Survival games and RPGs (Conan Exiles, ARK, Rust, 7Days etc.)</li> </ul><p>We evaluate candidates on an ongoing basis and recommend candidates to apply as soon as possible! </p><p>Please apply in <strong>English</strong>. </p><h2><strong>Why Funcom?</strong></h2><p>We’re a Scandinavian company and follow Scandinavian work values.
