Responsibilities
MaxLinear is seeking a Senior Director of Connectivity to join our team. In this role, you will focus on the following:
- Drive product roadmaps
- Build and lead global marketing, sales, and channel teams
- Strategy & Revenue Growth:
- Drive revenue growth by increasing market share and securing new designs with both current and new customers across various applications
- Develop and execute Annual Operating Plans in collaboration with the GM of the Connectivity & Storage BU, focusing on revenue, margin, and profit growth
- Product Development & Execution:
- Partner closely with Engineering to set and achieve product development goals
- Become the go-to expert on Total Addressable Market (TAM), Serviceable Available Market (SAM), and ROI analyses
- Lead the execution of customer and application-centric strategies
- Marketing & Sales Alignment:
- Lead product roadmap and marketing teams and collaborate with sales to effectively position products in new and existing market segments
- Align marketing strategies with the tactical aspects of marketing initiatives, ensuring clear product definitions and implementation strategies
- Relationship Management:
- Foster close relationships with key strategic customers
- Create and deliver presentations to the senior executive team and Board of Directors regarding new business development opportunities
- Market Intelligence:
- Conduct comprehensive market assessments, competitor analyses, and customer segmentation to identify product gaps and new market opportunities
- Maintain and share up-to-date knowledge on sales, products, competitors, and industry trends with the sales force
Qualifications
- Possess extensive knowledge of Wired and Wireless connectivity markets and Ethernet and Wi-Fi customers
- Strong background in one of the Connectivity technologies, either Ethernet or Wi-Fi or both
- Extensive knowledge of the silicon chip industry, including competition, standards, and trends
- Success in a results-driven and accountable environment
- Experience managing a P/L and producing profitable business results
- Expertise in market and competitor analysis, and market/product forecasting
- Demonstrated ability in building, mentoring, and retaining high-performing teams
- Ability to develop relationships across sales, engineering, and finance
- Senior-level management experience leading a global product line
- Proven track record in hiring, motivating employees, and expanding product revenue potential
- Credible and influential communication skills, both internally and externally
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting under sustained pressure
- Strong multitasking skills with a focus on detail and accuracy
- Frequent business travel
- BS in Electrical Engineering or related + 15 years of experience, or MS + 13 years of experience, or Ph.D. + 10 years of experience
Compensation and Benefits
MaxLinear has a Total Compensation philosophy which includes base salary and annual discretionary bonus eligibility and many positions also include stock-based compensation.
MaxLinear's good faith estimate starting base salary range is: $222,000 to $269,000 Annually

The actual starting base salary will be determined by the match to certain role-related criteria such as educational degree(s) or equivalent, relevant work experience, skillset needed for the role, and geographic location; this is not an all-inclusive list as some roles may require unique skills or experience.
