Alliance Steel, Inc. is seeking a Receiving Coordinator to join our growing team. The Receiving Coordinator is responsible verifying all incoming material for accuracy vs. the Purchase Order. All deliveries will be inspected for accuracy in description, quality, and quantity. This position plays an important role in the flow of production in all shops. 

Requirements

 Supervisory Responsibilities:


· Leadership skills and ability to manage staff

· Lead team to be safe, efficient, and work well with other organizations

· Listen to team and provide guidance and directions each day

· Assist in problem solving and improvements in department

· Assign team members to specific tasks and schedule each member to maximize coverage

· Ensure adequate coverage with available personnel – cross train to ensure all tasks can be complete as close to real time

· Work along side team when needed

· Identify hazards and concerns and help to mitigate those concerns

· Verify the accuracy and completeness of all assigned tasks



Duties/Responsibilities:


· Perform equipment safety inspections visually and operationally and report any deficiencies to maintenance and/or management

· Wear all assigned personal protective equipment and help other employees work safely to achieve shop goals and improve processes

· Assist maintenance technicians with any known deficiencies found on inspections and/or during normal operations

· Examine, check, and verify that the BOL and PO matches size, weight and quantity of material received. 

o Document any damage or shortage of products including screw bin, maintenance, paint, and rod brace. 

o Check thickness of raw material and verify that MTR's match the material and meet the ASI Specifications

o Reject product if needed and verify with the material manager

· Operate overhead crane and forklift safely unloading coils and packaging products and ensure the material is at the proper department location

· Email verification of the material to the proper representative of each shop for their personal inventory purposes

· Log receipts to database according to the required procedures 

· Assist the cycle count

· Help accounting department with issues concerning invoice matching and PO discrepancies

· Investigate and resolve discrepancies in paperwork vs. actual receipts

· Monitor the return process

· Submit all receiving paperwork to the accounting department 

· Any other duties assigned



Required Skills/Abilities: 


· Work well with others

· Ability to deescalate situations when upset drivers or other employees occur



Education and Experience:


· Experience working with forklifts and unloading trucks using a forklift 

· Computer experience using MS Office, Teams, D365, etc.

· Experience checking in vendors and verifying material

· Experience working with steel plates, I beam, pipe, coils and tubing



Physical Requirements: 


· Ability to stand/walk is required up to 90% of the shift

· Ability to read blueprints

· Great communication skills 

· Must wear proper safety equipment

· Able to follow verbal instructions

· Ability to lift 50lbs. bend, squat, kneel and or stand for extended periods of time
