ROLE SUMMARY
The US Customer & Channels Group was formed in 2024 with the vision to bring channel expertise to our Primary Care brands leading to portfolio level strategy planning, efficient use of resources, building year-round operational engine, and further advancing our relationships with customers. The Health System, Urgent Care, and Long-Term Care Channel (HULC) team resides under the US Primary Care Customer & Channel Group. It seeks to drive coordination and maximize opportunity across the Primary Care franchise through holistic channel strategy across Health System, Long-Term Care, and Urgent Care channels to meet the needs of our customers and our portfolio priorities. The team covers the full Primary Care franchise including - Vaccines, Antiviral & Diagnostics, Migraine, and Internal Medicine.
The Director, Health System and LTC Operations & Enablement will report directly to the Health System, Urgent Care, & Long-Term Care Channel (HULC) Lead. Given the criticality of the Health System and Long-Term Care channels to our Primary Care business, this role is responsible for leading and supporting the pull-through of innovative marketing strategy across our Health System and LTC channels. This role is responsible for strategic planning, providing marketing insights, and deploying against key marketing strategies & tactics. This colleague will lead multiple strategic initiatives and priority projects in collaboration with stakeholders across the Primary Care marketing business and external marketing vendors/agencies. This role will need to successfully work cross-functionally, diagonally/up, and manage a team of external resources supporting the marketing business. Given the dynamic marketplace, this colleague will need to stay agile based on business priorities, self-starter/proactive, possess executive presence, and translate complex concepts into streamlined insights.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the pull-through of innovative marketing strategy across our Health System and LTC channels:
- Manage execution across the team’s initiatives in the Health System and Long-Term Care channels. Initiatives will cross different Primary Care brands, depending on business relevance.
- Implement and execute marketing campaigns across multiple channels, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Conduct regular market research and competitive analysis to identify key industry trends, customer behavior shifts, and emerging opportunities.
- Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines and communicates key value propositions effectively.
- Regularly present updates to leadership and/or customer facing colleagues on channel initiatives.
- Align initiatives’ customer journeys and strategies across target audiences as well as ensure regulatory/legal and compliance requirements are met.
Work cross-functionally, diagonally/up, and manage a team of external resources supporting the marketing business:
- Manage relationships with external agencies/vendors and internal business partners/stakeholders.
- Collaborate with designers and agencies to develop creative assets that support marketing initiatives.
- Plan, direct, and coordinate new and ongoing initiatives to ensure on-time completion within budget and successful deployment (including directing external partners).
Budget forecasting and management
- Develop and manage marketing budget forecasting and actuals tracking process for entire HULC team. This includes preparing and delivering executive summary-level presentations.
- Track expenses, ensuring HULC campaigns are executed within budget, and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Continue the innovative and agile spirit of the team.
- Actively participate in fostering positive team culture and collaboration across the team.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA or advanced degree in a related field preferred
- 8+ years of pharmaceutical/biotechnology experience
- 2+ years of hands-on commercial analytics or operations experience including broad background in consulting, business analytics, finance, health economics, marketing strategy, or equivalent set of experiences required
- Able to lead in a fast-paced environment
- Able to put innovation into action and foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork
- Ability to work with complex data sets
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to be able to do both qualitative and quantitative assessments
- Demonstrated track record of cross-collaboration and strong matrix team coordination/leadership
- Strong project management, time
