We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Backend) with a proven record in designing, developing and maintaining highly available distributed networking systems and services.

Responsibilities:

Our team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Backend) to join our growing engineering team that has built and manages the world's fastest vpn service. The ideal candidate is a hands-on developer who is proficient in GoLang.

We are looking for someone who has experience building and maintaining software involving networking protocols and server software on Linux. Problems of internet scale should be fun to the candidate and seen as an opportunity to enrich millions of users' online experience. 

Requirements:

- 3-5 years of total Golang software development experience.

- 5+ years experience developing and maintaining software involving networking protocols (IP, TCP, UDP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, etc)

- 5+ years experience developing and maintaining server software on Linux.

- 5+ years of  experience with debugging and troubleshooting server networking software (tcpdump, ss, core dump analysis)

- 3+ years experience in software design

- 3+ years experience with doing design and code reviews

- Understanding of container technologies (docker)

- Strong written and spoken communication skills.

Nice to have:

- Knowledge of Python/C++

- Experience with Linux system administration

- Exposure to load and performance analysis of server software.
