The National Consulting Practice (NCP) provides consulting services to a diverse portfolio of clients including Managed Care Organizations, Medicaid and Medicare health plans, state and governmental health-related agencies, health care companies and providers, private equity firms, and health-related trade associations. They help these clients navigate opportunities to secure Medicaid program contracts and strengthen their Medicaid operations and financial performance. About the Role
Sellers Dorsey is seeking a Senior Director, Consulting who will provide strategic and tactical guidance to the National Consulting Practice (NCP) clients such as managed care organizations (MCOs), provider led entities (PLEs), solutions providers, community-based organizations, and other Medicaid stakeholders. As the Senior Director, Consulting, you will support revenue growth while maintaining a portfolio of clients. You will also directly support the Managing Directors in meeting budgeted revenue targets while growing a diverse client base, delivering consulting services leveraging their experience with Medicaid managed care including but not limited to: business development, health plan operations, clinical care management, healthcare policy, healthcare technology, long-term services and supports (LTSS,) and Medicaid financing and revenue maximization. You will be responsible for all aspects of client relationships at an advanced senior level and/or responsible for all policy/technical aspects on projects. You will also deliver strategic advice and counsel to our Sellers Dorsey business partners, federal agencies, states, private companies and various associations or unions, and be responsible for policy guidance, direct service delivery, project management client satisfaction, identification of new and expanded business activities, including significant proposal development responsibilities and final client deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver subject matter expertise, consulting and strategic services on multiple clients/projects; manage assigned primary research and/or solution development; assist with proposal development, project plan development, data analysis, presentation development, and delivery of client presentations. Perform assigned and agreed upon project tasks maintaining client satisfaction through proactive project management; takes ownership of work and produces “client-ready” deliverables.
- Deliver new clients and revenue opportunities for P&L budgeted targets.
- Oversee the work of an Associate Director/Subject Matter Expert.
- Actively seek to identify new business opportunities for the Firm within assigned clients to help maximize long term benefits and relationship between the client and Sellers Dorsey.
- Use personal industry knowledge, relationships, business expertise, public policy awareness and political insight to identify leads that could result in profitable revenue growth for the Firm.
- In coordination with the marketing team, produce and review content for selected internal and external marketing tools, such as Firm newsletters, conference presentations, website content, and marketing webinars, to highlight the Firm’s capabilities, subject matter expertise and successes.

Key Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, Public Health, Health Administration, business, economics or MBA preferred
- 15 or more combined years in a managed care, public healthcare policy management role and/or in the healthcare consulting industry.
- Executive or Administrator experience in leading teams to design, execute and implement significant changes within Medicaid and Medicaid Managed Care programs is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft
