We are seeking a highly skilled Lead or Senior Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test Project Engineer to lead and manage the execution of integrated project plans in the Saint Louis, MO area. This role will involve developing and utilizing metrics to track engineering team performance to allocated baselines, affordability analysis, alignment and capture of growth opportunities as well as periodically acting as an organizational spokesperson. The ideal candidate will provide engineering leadership to a diverse team, including internal and external resources and customers, ensuring successful project execution and alignment with business objectives. Additionally, this person will act as the lead technical integrator for the program, overseeing the operational activities of a team of integration engineers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement overall integrated execution plans that align with project goals and objectives

  • Establish and monitor performance metrics to assess project performance, efficiencies, productivity, and lessons learned

  • Manage baseline configurations and ensure adherence to project schedules, costs, and deliverables

  • Conduct affordability analysis to identify cost-effective solutions and growth opportunities within the project scope

  • Provide engineering leadership to a multidisciplinary team, fostering collaboration and communication among team members and stakeholders

  • Develop Statements of Work (SOW) to meet research and development, ongoing, and new business requirements, ensuring clarity and alignment with customer expectations

  • Collaborate with customers and management to obtain necessary approvals for SOW and project plans

  • Respond to changes in SOW, assess impacts, and negotiate proposed changes to deliverables, resources, costs, and schedules

  • Lead project execution to ensure completion of the work statement, maintaining focus on quality and timeliness

  • Plan, identify, and coordinate resources required throughout the project or program lifecycle

  • Define and implement risk mitigation strategies and identify opportunities for project improvement

  • Compare actual results to baseline plans to evaluate project performance and implement corrective actions as needed

  • Provide technical, business, and integration leadership for the development and execution of project or team plans

  • Act as a Control Account Manager and/or Status Focal

  • Work under minimal direction, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving capabilities

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • 3+ years leading technical teams executing a development statement of work

  • 1+ years utilizing EV or other metrics to monitor and react to performance

  • 3+ years in a Systems Engineering and Integration role

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years as an organizational spokesperson on technical projects

  • Masters degree

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  


Summary pay range:

Level 4: $114,750 - $155,250
