Job Duties:
Manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc. As a director of the software engineering division, you will apply your extensive knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and envision future improvements to the architecture. May telecommute. (385.20790)
Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field followed by seven years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or in a Technology-related occupation. Position requires:
- Oracle Autonomous database, ORACLE RAC, Oracle data guard ,Oracle Engineered Systems including Exadata, Bigdata appliance and OCI (Oracle cloud infrastructure);
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Generative AI , Oracle Machine Learning, Select AI - Natural Language to SQL Generation on Autonomous Database;
- Oracle multitenant CDB/PDB, Oracle RMAN, Oracle Goldengate, performance tuning, Oracle RAC, Oracle datapump, Enterprise manager, Oracle WebLogic;
- Capacity planning, optimizing utilization, and automating database management tasks using Terraform, Python, and shell scripting;
- CI/CD pipeline (Jenkins) and monitoring and alarming tools OEM, OCI Telemetry, Grafana. Logging tools ELK, OpenSearch;
- Security vulnerability assessment for mission critical databases and Mitigation;
- Creates standard operating procedures and documentations for managing and troubleshooting database related issues;
- Collaborate with multiple stakeholder’s supervisors, subordinates and management team;
- Debugging of highly critical database issues and provide root cause analysis;
- Obtain and evaluate information on factors such as costs, and security needs to determine hardware/software configurations for mission critical databases;
- Automation - Design and create tooling to automate the mundane tasks and help diagnose to reduce time to resolve database issue. Making decisions and solving problems;
- RESTful Web Services, Oracle Application Express, Oracle Exadata, SQL or PL/SQL, AWR, ADDM, Oracle backup and restore; and
- Installation, configuration and upgrading of server software and related products; Planning and implementing backup and recovery procedures and designed availability solutions for the database systems ; Monitoring and optimizing the performance of the database systems. Troubleshooting various problems related to the databases and applications.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $122,500 to $291,800 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week.
