Experienced Veterinary Assistant

VCA Kaneohe Animal Hospital located in Kaneohe, Hawaii is looking for a Veterinary Assistant who enjoys providing high-quality pet care and seeks to be a part of a team that feels like a family.

We need an Experienced Veterinary Assistant (minimum 2 years) to provide excellent patient care with a focus on wellness and client education.  We are willing to train the right person.  Veterinary Assistants are responsible for preparing exam rooms for the doctors and assist in providing care for the patients hospitalized in the treatment area. 

Schedule: 4/10’s with every other weekend required. Full-time Opportunity.

Compensation: Starting at $17 / hour. Pay dependent on experience and licensure.

• Restraining and assisting in patient exams and routine procedures.
• Taking detailed medical histories and patient vitals.
• Filling prescriptions (as allowed by law).
• Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.
• Providing compassionate care for our hospitalized animals.
• Maintaining medical records.
• Assisting our wonderful Doctor and Technician staff as needed.
• Maintaining a clean, safe hospital environment.
