Job Description
The Neuropsychologist reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
A neuropsychologist is a clinical psychologist specializing in the evaluation and treatment of cognitive, emotional, and behavioral abilities in children and adults, as they related to brain development, aging, disease, and injury. This position reports to the Director of Neuropsychology.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluates neurocognitive concerns, symptoms, or signs.
- Consultation with physicians, other providers, therapists, and staff.
- Supervises psychometrists, and others including students, residents, and fellows.
- Communicates with clinicians and family members as appropriate.
- Participates in educational programs, in-service meetings, clinician meetings, and workshops to enhance professional development and maintain currency of methodology and techniques.
- Documents in accordance with policies and procedures regarding medical records; implements and adheres to policies which ensure patient confidentiality.
- Demonstrates an ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart confidential information.
- Participates in program development and implementation in area of expertise and promotes appropriate utilization of psychological services.
- Provides in-service education and staff support as needed to enhance patient care delivery and patient outcomes with the psychologically involved patient.

Qualifications
Required:
- Successful completion of a doctoral degree program in professional psychology, e.g. PhD, PsyD, granted from a training program accredited by the American Psychological Association.
- Pre-doctoral internship accredited by the APA.
- Postdoctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology accredited by the Association of Postdoctoral Programs in Clinical Neuropsychology resulting in eligibility for board certification by the American Board of Professional Psychology.
- Equivalent accreditations will be considered (e.g. Canadian Psychological Association and British Psychological Society).
Preferred:
- Board certification by the American Board of Clinical Neuropsychology (ABCN).
