Summary

This role develops and delivers Executive, Dealer, and Regional and Field events and meetings, in the U.S. and internationally, to include but not limited to vendor selection, event site inspection and program delivery, and budget management and reconciliation.  Identify and execute various incentive / travel programs to support KUS’ business plan achievement, Sales Operations Division and Regional operations.

The position conducts cost-benefit analyses, develops, and presents executive proposals for Sales and Dealer-facing incentive programs, as directed by the Director of Sales & Field Operations, to maximize retail, wholesale, loyalty, and retention.

This role develops program justification, manages, and supports various and ongoing Corporate, Region/Field, and Dealer events, including but not limited to: National Dealer and Field Meetings, Dealer and Regional Grassroots Meetings, National Dealer Council meetings, NADA, and Kia HQ trip events, as well as President’s Club, Sales Elite, and Cash Bash incentive programs.

The position coordinates and liaises between all Divisions and Departments across the organization.  At the direction of the Director of Sales & Field Operations, the individual performs diverse duties that require a high degree of discretion and interfaces with the offices of the President & CEO, Vice Presidents, and KUS/KNA Directors, as well as Kia HQ, community leaders, and other VIPs.
 

Major Responsibilities

1st Priority - 30%

Develop, lead, and deliver Executive, Dealer, Region/Field events and meetings. Lead vendor selection and RFP, event site inspections, deliver programs, and manage budget and reconciliation.  Identify, manage, and execute various programs to support KUS’ business plan achievement, Sales Operations Division and Regional operations.

2nd Priority - 20%

Manage President’s Club, Elite, and Cash Bash programs and associated trips, NADA meetings, National Dealer Council meetings, National Dealer and Field Meetings, Dealer Grass Roots Meetings, various Executive-level meetings, and Kia HQ trips and events. Manage all logistics and aspects of the meetings and events.  

3rd Priority - 20%

Conduct cost-benefit analyses, develop program proposals (EADs), and present to executive management for approval of various travel and incentive programs.  Manage and reconcile budget ongoing, PO/PA, and spending.

4th Priority - 15%

Design, manage, and execute non-cash travel incentive programs designed to maximize retail sales and customer experience and to create enthusiasm for the Kia brand.  Manage all aspects, including: vendor selection and management, event planning, budget reconciliation, and program ROI.

5th Priority - 15%

Manage all program budgets and reconciliation.  Provide ad hoc data assignments as needed.

Education/Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
  • Project Management Certification preferred
     

Overall Experience

  • 7+ years program/project management experience required
  • Industry/OEM experience preferred
     

Directly Related Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Corporate and/or large-scale event planning
  • Minimum 3-5 years sales or marketing experience
     

Skills

Advanced organizational and planning skillsAdvanced PC skills in a Windows environment (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) required.Excellent presentation skills.
