Description Overview
As the Nordic Head of Commercial Control, you will be responsible for providing finance business partnership and decision support to the leadership team in the Nordics as well as leading a team of commercial finance analysts. This key role will involve analysing the business, forecasting financial performance, providing actionable insights and using influencing skills to drive profitable and sustainable growth. The Nordics Cluster is a €150m turnover business operating in Skincare as well as across other OTC & Women’s Health categories. Our leading skincare brand ACO is the leading brand across pharmacies in Sweden, Norway & Finland.
Scope of the Role
The role comprises four key elements; business partnering, reporting, budgeting / forecasting and team leadership
- Support Nordic Lead Team in delivering Net Revenue, Operating Income and Working Capital targets as well as defining and achieving profitable growth strategies.
- Collaborate closely with the commercial teams (Sales Director, Marketing Director & their teams) to provide financial insights into pricing strategies, customer negotiations, trade and A&P investment, new product launches, and improved mix.
- Regular evaluation of risks and opportunities, driving action to maximize financial outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and control framework in all commercial finance activities.
- Lead projects aimed at improving the commercial P&L, reducing operational costs, and enhancing overall efficiency within the organization.
- Develop and deliver training programs to the commercial teams (finance for non-finance), ensuring that they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
- Ensure that monthly management reporting within Perrigo group and internally within the Nordic Business is delivered on time and in full.
- Support the monthly rolling S&OP/IBP process turning demand plans into a rolling financial P&L.
- Work with the sales team to deliver weekly and monthly sales and operating income forecast with high level of forecast accuracy.
- Coordinate and lead the Annual Budgeting Review process for the Nordic Cluster, ensuring it aligns with company objectives and optimizes investment and resource allocation.
- Support the top down 5-year Long Range Planning (LRP) process ensuring brand P&L’s reflect key business drivers and key commercial as well as financial assumption.
- Coach and mentor the team of commercial analysts, fostering their professional growth and promoting a culture of excellence and inclusion.
- Work alongside the Cluster Finance Director and Accounting Manager to set goals for team both short and medium term.
Experience Required
- Qualified accountant (CIMA or equivalent) or relevant University degree with proven financial and accounting acumen.
- At least 5 years post qual experience in a commercial business (FMCG / Consumer Goods environment).
- Experience in working in commercial P&L environment and responsible for partnering those responsible for performance delivery.
- Expertise in excel and financial modelling – experience in PowerBI and PowerPivot is a benefit.
- This opportunity is for a candidate based in Sweden.
- Fluent Swedish and English language skills.
- Strong understanding of the commercial drivers of a consumer goods business and examples of how to positively influence and maximise value.
- Confident and credible in front of senior management
- Proven leadership experience, with a track record of managing and developing individuals and high-performing teams.
