Technical Field Service Manager for Florida

This is not a 9 to 5 job.

Reporting to the VP Engineering & Manufacturing, this position will be responsible for overseeing all service technicians in a territory from Central Florida to the Florida Keys. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter that does not require direct supervision nor a traditional work schedule.

Job Description

• Supervision of Field Service Technicians which would include, but not limited to, recruitment, training, and performance management. Also providing direction and support to ensure compliance with relevant legislative specifications, as well as ensuring compliance with all company service policies and procedures, while also coordinating with service technicians to determine best course of action.
• Maintain and implement robust technical standards, systems and processes.
• Influence technology strategies and decisions with a high-level of expertise and knowledge.
• Troubleshooting service issues as the initial responder.
• Strategic planning related to dispatching technicians.
• Perform Quality Inspections on service calls, ensuring compliance with company policies, as well as that national safety and quality standards are met.
• Create and distribute statistical reports regularly to Upper Management, as needed.
• Attend regularly scheduled Management and Company events.
• Collaborate with Engineering, as well as Research and Development teams by providing product feedback.
• Extensive overnight travel, with a minimum of 3 weeks out of a month spent on the road, including weekend travel when necessary.
• Act as On-Call Manager as needed, including after hours.

Requirements

 

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Controls Engineering at the minimum.
• Previous management experience is preferred.
• Experience in a role that required extensive travel.
• Experience in training at both on-site and/or remote environments and under less-than-ideal conditions.
• Ability to work with little to no supervision.
• Ability and experience in a role that required making quick decisions.
• Experience in creating data analysis and statistical reports for senior leadership.

Salary: $95,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year

Salary Description $95,000-$115,000 per year
