Your Assignment
The mission of the Material Science Intern at ASML is to learn about ASML's products and create an innovative solution to a real problem that we are facing using the latest technology and manufacturing techniques. You will work on Tin Mitigation technology within the EUV Light Source program, conduct research and testing with guidance from experienced engineers and scientists. Quality is paramount, and you will clearly demonstrate your impact with data.
This position may require access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require the Company to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
You must be work authorized in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
- Conduct research, design and build experimental test set-ups.
- Strong knowledge of instrumentation, statistics, chemistry, and physics.
- Perform data analysis and present results to a multidisciplinary team.
- Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and CAD designers for prototype and pilot detailed design.
- Coordinate with machine shops or other suppliers to manufacture and procure custom hardware.
- Interact closely with development engineers, scientists, suppliers, and QA to resolve product and quality issues.

Your Profile:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college, pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Material Science Engineering, with a minimum of two years of coursework completed.
- Knowledge/hands-on experience with software/technical tools like Microsoft office suites. Especially, deep data analysis using excel and its macros.
- Experienced in processing and visualizing large data sets.
- Demonstrated ability to execute designs from concept through to hands-on testing and build.

- This position is located on-site in San Diego, CA. It requires onsite presence to attend in-person work-related events, trainings and meetings and to further ensure teamwork, collaboration and innovation.
