As a .NET Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Asset and Wealth Management, specifically in the Workplace Solutions team, you will be an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a team of technologists to innovate and enhance the Workplace Solutions platform.
- Design and develop creative software solutions, employing your ability to think beyond conventional approaches to solve complex technical problems.
- Produce secure, high-quality production code, and engage in code reviews and debugging to maintain excellence.
- Identify and automate solutions to recurring issues, enhancing the operational stability of software applications and systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues, ensuring timely and effective fixes.
- Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical credentials for integration into existing systems.
- Champion communities of practice across Software Engineering to promote the adoption of new and leading-edge technologies.
- Foster a culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect within the team.
- Integrate with front-end technologies such as Angular and React, and back-end Java APIs.
- Manage application deployment using CI/CD platforms to ensure efficient and reliable delivery.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Formal training or certification on software and engineering concepts, and 3+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience on Microsoft Technical Stack Support, including C#, .Net, and SQL Server.
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Advanced in one or more programming language(s).
- Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
- Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
- Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.).
- Ability to prioritize and willingness to take ownership.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Practical cloud-native experience.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Hands-on experience using Kubernetes container orchestration.
- Experience working with cloud platforms, specifically Azure and AWS.
- In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems.
