As a Senior QA Engineer at Juniper Square, you will collaborate with the product and engineering teams to help define and drive our manual testing efforts. You must be detail oriented, passionate about product quality, and a strong advocate for the end user experience.
Specifically, you will:
- Review functional specifications, technical design documents, test plans and test cases, and provide meaningful feedback
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
- Work as a liaison between development and automation to identify test cases that can be automated for new feature releases and for potential automation candidates
- Test new product features and ensure they are delivered with the highest quality
- Identify, troubleshoot, and track bugs to resolution
- Mentor other QA engineers across the engineering department on best practices and processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or area of study) or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience testing web applications and working closely with automation team
- Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Experience working within a scrum team using agile methodology
- Experience in testing integrations with 3rd party systems
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to address complex technical problems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL
- Familiarity with security best practices (such as authentication, authorization, identity and access management, SSO, OWASP, SSL, etc.)
- Experience with Git, AWS, UNIX
- Experience in working with analytic tools (Looker) is a plus
- Experience testing applications built with ReactJS and GraphQL is a plus
- Experience with JavaScript based testing frameworks is a plus
- You must be flexible and adaptable—you will be juggling multiple projects in a fast-paced startup environment

Compensation
Compensation for this position includes a base salary, equity, and a variety of benefits. The U.S. base salary range for this role is $111,300 - $185,800. Actual base salaries will be based on candidate-specific factors, including experience, skillset, and location, and local minimum pay requirements as applicable.
