About the Job:
The position of Senior Accountant will have primary responsibility to perform time-sensitive activities supporting the monthly financial close including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting and analysis in a fast-paced business setting.
In This Role, You Will:
• Daily cash management – reconciling bank statement lines to system transactions
• Daily cash journal entries per the monthly close checklist
• Recording and monitoring fixed asset activity
• Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparation of journal entries per the monthly close checklist
• Cross train and serve as backup for other accounting positions as needed
• Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual compliance filings as assigned
• Assist with analysis and reporting tasks as needed
• All other duties and projects as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
• Three to five years of previous relevant experience in an accounting position is required.
• Previous experience creating accounting departmental processes is preferred
• Experience working with tight deadlines is required
• In-depth knowledge and experience in Microsoft Excel
• Working knowledge of Oracle finance platform a plus
• Previous experience in transportation and logistics a plus

This is a hybrid role based in Charlotte, NC.
