Business Teacher – Full Time

Fr Augustine Tolton Regional Catholic High School in Columbia, MO has an opening for a Business Teacher. This position is for the 2024-2025 school year. A successful candidate is a practicing Catholic in good standing who can minister to students regardless of subject area or a teacher who, consistent with the Mission of Fr Augustine Tolton Regional Catholic High School, promotes and teaches the Catholic faith as reasonably determined by the principal.

Responsibilities:

• Teaches Business, Business Law, Marketing, and Personal Finance classes.
• Utilizes technology to impact student learning and increase communication
• Demonstrates support for the mission of Fr. Tolton Catholic High School by attitude, words, actions, and integrity
• Assists in maintaining discipline throughout the student body, in adherence to the Student Handbook
• Serves with parents, faculty, and student groups, as requested in advancing educational and related activities and objectives
• Possibility to sponsor, coach, or supervise extra-curricular activities
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Principal
  

Qualification:

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
• Master’s degree preferred
• State teaching licensure/certificate is preferred but not a hiring prerequisite
• Familiarity with Google Suite (Gmail, docs, sheets, etc), Google Classroom, and RenWeb/FACTS is preferred
• Understands the high school education culture and is able to interact professionally with students, faculty, and parents
• Ability to maintain professionalism in challenging situations
  

Physical Demands and other requirements:

• Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks such as computer keyboarding, writing, and reading
• Required to monitor students in a variety of locations including those with noise and activity
• Required to maintain composure and to communicate appropriately in words and action
