Examples of duties
This position focuses on reviewing, analyzing, and processing case information to ensure that parole actions follow all required laws and policies. You will support accurate documentation, timely case movement, and reliable communication with internal and external partners. As a Parole Staff Technician 1, you will perform the following duties:
- Case Review: Examine case files to determine completeness, accuracy, and proper routing
- Information Verification: Compare sentencing information with correctional records and identify necessary adjustments
- Action Processing: Record board actions, update administrative entries, and ensure proper wording of official documents
- Communication Support: Notify board members of inconsistencies, respond to inquiries, and provide technical information regarding board actions
- Record Accuracy: Monitor sentence status changes and direct updates to maintain reliable case records
- Training Participation: Join staff training sessions and assist with guidance related to procedures and policy interpretation

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:15 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 45-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Three years of clerical experience; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
