About the role

Job Description:

The Sr Manager of Nursing is a highly skilled and experienced nurse leader, who is responsible for providing clinical, operational, administrative, and managerial support to the RN teams.This position will be responsible for the oversight and management of the market nurses and overall nursing operations. Duties include evaluating and managing nursing employees, establishing goals for the nursing department, and creating and enforcing compliant healthcare policies and procedures. This leader will partner with the market Director of Operations, RN Managers, Care Team Managers, and Market Medical Directors to foster operational excellence. The Sr Manager of Nursing will be responsible for developing tactical plans and execution to exceed market goals related to the nursing functions through managing, communicating, organizing, resourcing, monitoring, performance managing, and engaging talented workforce to facilitate the delivery of member and customer focused care and quality services.

The Sr Manager of Nursing oversees the Longitudinal RN Team and the Transitions of Care Team, typically with a Manager or RN Lead for each team who reports to them.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the people, processes, and functions of member care and services provided by nursing teams, collaborating with the Executive Director, Market Medical Directors, and Senior Director for Operations and Nursing to establish and execute market level strategies and tactics that drive performance.

  • Plan and execute tactical operations in designated coverage areas to support market excellence, ensuring efficient, quality driven, member focused care services through effective management of resources, communication, and performance.

  • Develop, implement, and administer operational processes and policies designed to improve member and client satisfaction, enhance operational efficiency, and elevate quality and productivity.

  • Leverage technology and embrace continuous improvement and transformational change initiatives to optimize business processes within the area of coverage.

  • Collaborate with management, supervisors, and staff to identify operational challenges and opportunities, fostering innovative solutions for operational excellence.

  • Foster a high engagement environment by coaching team members, setting clear expectations, conducting performance appraisals, and providing career development opportunities, succession planning, corrective actions, and staff recognition.

  • Manage the budget for assigned areas of accountability to ensure responsible resource stewardship and achieve financial targets.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive reporting systems, including daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports with key performance indicators, ensuring accountability and tracking progress.

  • Lead and participate in health plan audit lifecycles, representing Cityblock at oversight committee meetings and ensuring compliance with audits and regulations.

  • Establish a framework for consistent stakeholder updates on progress, risks, and input needs.

  • Provide training and development opportunities for individual contributors, new managers, and market leaders on care model operations and compliance with state, federal, and Cityblock specific requirements.

  • Ensure market specific staffing differences are managed, while maintaining adherence to Cityblock's centralized model expectations.

  • Serve as a lead and coach for team leads and members, demonstrating a strong commitment to personal growth and development, contributing to their success within the organization.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree

This role is eligible for health insurance, life insurance, retirement benefits, participation in the company’s equity program, paid time off, including vacation and sick leave. The actual offer will be at the company’s sole discretion and determined by relevant business considerations, including the final candidate’s qualifications, years of experience, skillset, and geographic location. The expected salary range for this position is: 

133,800.00 - 175,835.00 Salary
