IT Technical Support Anlst III

The IT Technical Support Analyst III provides technical support and training to customers. This role acts as an experienced technical expert in one or more highly specialized IT services. Performs root cause analysis, development of checklists for typical problems and controls for problem prevention. This position works in a team setting, sharing information and assisting others.

Responsibilities:

• Build and deploy software distribution packages for applications

• Administer and provision certain security access

• Create, research, document and resolve Second and Third level tickets

• Provide front line IT support through phone, email, databases, and desktop support by applying judgment to resolve issues

• Reevaluate processes and procedures for the knowledge base and recommend changes to increase efficiencies

• Create, maintain and deploy desktops, laptops, master images or other devices

• Perform system testing for various internal and external applications, functionality, hardware, software, and potential fixes

• Analyze technical trends, may create appropriate reports and/or recommend resolution for addressing incidents

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma/GED required.

• Requires 3 - 5 years of related experience

Additional licensing, certifications, registrations:

• Technical certifications a plus

Knowledge:

• Requires knowledge of MS operating systems

• Requires knowledge of computer hardware and software

• Prefers knowledge of health insurance industry environment

Skills and Abilities:

• Requires strong problem solving skills

• Analytical skills and ability to do root cause analysis

• Requires excellent communication skills and ability to write and discuss procedures regarding technical issues

• Requires excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with all levels of personnel

• Requires the ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment

Travel:

• Requires general availability and may include off hours and some holidays and weekends.

Horizon BCBSNJ employees must live in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut or Delaware

Salary Range:

$69,500 - $93,030

​This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity.  This range has been created in good faith based on information known to Horizon at the time of posting.  Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case.
